Disability Solutions

Disability Solutions is an Ealing Centre for Independent Living project that provides a range of disability-related services to organisations and individuals in and around the borough of Ealing.

Services we provide

• Disability Equality Training, training around the Disability Discrimination Act (including the new duties on Public Authorities) and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act (SENDA)
• Training on the principles of Independent Living, using Direct Payments and accessing the Independent Living Fund
• Training on access issues, including complying with Building Regulations
• Access audits, appraisal of building plans and help developing access action plans
• Information and advice regarding access for disabled people including adjusting policies, practices and procedures, and providing auxiliary aids and services.

We are also developing a series of workshops for disabled individuals on issues such as self-image, Independent Living and rights under the Disability Discrimination Act.

Disability Solutions trainers and auditors are usually disabled people.
