ECIL Services

ECIL provides a range of services and support to disabled people who live or work in Ealing.

Our opening times are Monday to Friday from 9.30am – 5.00pm.

You can drop in, but you will need to make an appointment for benefits form filling and complicated advice issues. You can also email, phone us or write to us.

Community Legal Service. Advice and Information on the full range of disability issues

The main thing we can offer you is advice and information on disability issues and support to get what you need. As part of this we produce a FREE newsletter and we host a legal surgery and an Independent Living surgery. In addition we run events which may help you get the information you need.

Visit the Advice and Information page to find out more.

ECIL Disability Information and Advice Surgeries

In order to make our service more widely available, particularly to those who find it hard to get to West Ealing, we are now providing surgeries in different parts of the borough.

Visit the ECIL Disability Information and Advice Surgeries page.

Benefits form filling

An important part of the advice and information we provide is help with filling in welfare benefits forms.

Visit the Benefits page to find out more.

Meetings, events and activities

ECIL organises a range of meetings, activities and events to give disabled people a voice, to provide information and just to have social time.

Meetings which give an opportunity to discuss disability issues include the Direct Payment users group and Disability Connect meetings.

ECIL Open House events are monthly social meetings, which often have an informed speaker and deal with a different topic each time.

Regular social activities include FREE Gentle Keep Fit on Tuesdays from 2.00pm – 3.30pm. On Fridays we run two bridge groups and each year we hold a Summer and Christmas party.

We organise occasional trips with FREE transport and also one off social events such as card and cinema nights.

Room hire

The meeting space at ECIL is fully accessible with a loop system and accessible loo.

Visit Room hire page to find out more.

Computer Assessment

Do you have difficulty using a computer? Find out -

  • if a simple adjustment can make your computer easier to use, whatever your disability
  • if there is a piece of software that could revolutionise your ability to read the screen, type more easily or help with understanding what is written
  • if a piece of equipment, such as a small keyboard, could make a difference to you.

Book an assessement at ECIL, 1 Bayham Road, West Ealing, W13.   This will be via a webcam link to AbilityNet, the leading experts in computer access for disabled people.  For more information or to make a booking, contact ECIL on 020 8280 2274.
